Gronau, December 15, 2025. The Movember team of St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau, known as “Beards Without Borders”, has raised more donations this year than any other Movember organization in Germany. According to the recently published ranking by the Movember Foundation, the Gronau team led by Chief Physician Dr. Christian Wagner secured the top national position with an impressive €28,720 in donations.

The funds raised will support international Movember Foundation projects that promote men’s health worldwide, focusing on prostate and testicular cancer as well as mental health.

The team’s success was made possible through a series of inspiring fundraising events, including:

Benefit concerts at the Club Turbine of the Rock’n’Popmuseum Gronau, which delighted music lovers and supporters alike,

an internal raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses and private individuals,

a Charity Indoor Cycling Event at FitWerk Ochtrup, where participants pedaled for donations,

a Sub40 running challenge, in which one participant raised funds through her athletic performance, and

a Christmas market booth in Bad Bentheim, offering mulled wine, waffles, and the traditional “Nikolausknobeln” game to attract visitors.

A special highlight of this year’s campaign was the auction of a painting by Udo Lindenberg, which made a significant contribution to the overall fundraising result.

Founded in 2014 at St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau, the team “Beards Without Borders” has since united employees, patients, and supporters of the Clinic for Urology and the Prostate Center Gronau (PCG). With creative initiatives and awareness campaigns, they address topics that men often find difficult to talk about – prostate and testicular cancer as well as depression.

“We are incredibly proud of this shared achievement,” says Dr. Christian Wagner, team captain and Chief Physician of the Clinic for Urology at St. Antonius-Hospital Gronau. “Every year, we experience how much positive energy emerges from this collective effort – and how important it is to encourage men to speak openly about their health.”
