Gronau, 21 January 2026. Several international medical delegations have once again undergone training at the European Robotic Institute (ERI) at St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau.
The participants, including doctors from Poland, the Netherlands, Portugal and Italy, gained valuable insights. A particular focus was placed on hands-on training on a daVinci surgical system specially provided for training purposes under the guidance of senior physician Dr Philipp Kneissl and specialist Abdirahman Ayanle. In addition, the doctors were able to watch a live broadcast of a robot-assisted prostatectomy (RARP) performed by chief physician Dr Christian Wagner.
Doctors from all over the world and students regularly visit the ERI to learn surgical work on the da Vinci surgical system and develop their skills. With this offering, St. Antonius Hospital Gronau underscores its leading expertise in robot-assisted surgery and promotes international exchange among surgeons.
