Gronau, November 19. Today, on Men's Health Day, there was a special surprise at the urology clinic at St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau: a grateful patient brought in a lovingly decorated men's cake with chocolate icing and a frosting moustache, the well-known symbol of the international Movember movement.
This gesture fits perfectly with the theme of the day. November is Men's Health Awareness Month around the world. Every year, the Movember initiative draws attention to the importance of preventive medical checkups, especially for the early detection of prostate and testicular cancer. At the same time, the movement sends a strong signal for more openness in dealing with mental health issues in men.
The Movember team at St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau is also involved in various activities throughout the month. The aim is to raise awareness of preventive care and collect donations for men's health projects. Most recently, a painting by Udo Lindenberg was auctioned for a five-figure sum in euros. The proceeds goes to the Movember Foundation.
The urology clinic at St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau enjoys an excellent international reputation. It is particularly well known for its expertise in robot-assisted surgery, which attracts patients from all over the world.
