Gronau, December 23. Chief physicians, surgical assistants, and the management team at St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau appear in this video to explain in detail the advantages of the new da Vinci 5 surgical system.
With over 25,000 robot-assisted surgical procedures, St. Antonius Hospital is a leader in this field. This is particularly true for prostatectomies (radical prostate removal), of which 1,800 are performed in Gronau every year. Since 2006, St. Antonius Hospital in Gronau has always used the latest da Vinci surgical systems – and since October 2025, it has been using the da Vinci 5, the latest generation. The hospital also has a unique training center where students and doctors can learn robot-assisted surgery on a da Vinci system as part of their training.
