St. Antonius Hospital Gronau GmbH is a cure and care healthcare network sponsored by the Catholic parishes of St. Antonius (Gronau) and St. Agatha (Epe). It is the largest employer in the region and a training center for medical and paramedical professionals.
At the core of the network is St. Antonius Hospital with eleven specialized clinics, and eleven medical centers. The hospital delivers inpatient and outpatient care. In addition to comprehensive basic and standard care, the hospital also offers highly specialized services, including modern minimally invasive procedures and internationally recognized robot-assisted surgery using the da Vinci® system. The clinic of urology is one of Europe's leading centers in robot-assisted surgery. The affiliated European Robotic Institute also serves as a training center for medical professionals from Germany and abroad.
In addition to the hospital, the medical network includes the Vita GmbH Medical Care Center (MVZ), the Outpatient Physiocenter, and a modern health center. The elderly care sector includes several inpatient facilities and outpatient services in Gronau, Epe, and Alstätte, as well as an outpatient nursing service and a senior citizens' park for assisted living. Since 2024, a day hospice has complemented the services offered to terminally ill patients.
Due to its location close to the Dutch border, St. Antonius Hospital is an important point of contact for patients from the entire Euregio region – both from the Münsterland region and from the neighboring Dutch region of Twente.
Patient centered and flat organization structures, direct communication, as well as strong interdisciplinary cooperation characterize everyday life at St. Antonius Hospital – always with the goal of providing the best possible medical and human support to people.
