Urinary Bladder

Urinary Bladder

The urinary bladder is located in the lower part of the abdominal cavity. It is connected to the kidneys via the two ureters, which continuously transport urine. The bladder serves as a reservoir for urine before it is excreted from the body. At its lower end, the bladder connects to the urethra, allowing controlled urination.

Common conditions treated include:

  • Bladder cancer
  • Bladder replacement after cystectomy (robot-assisted / da Vinci®)
  • Overactive bladder (urge incontinence)
  • Bladder diverticula
  • Bladder stones

At the Urology Clinic of St. Antonius Hospital, these conditions are diagnosed and treated using modern, minimally invasive techniques, including robot-assisted procedures for optimal outcomes. Contact persons: Dr. Jörg Zinke and Bernhard Fangmeyer.
